.... dying.
Oct. 15th, 2001 07:42 amModem, that is.
It's been behaving erratically since last Thursday.
I thought at first that it was more of Rogers@home and their example of perfect internet service.
But no, the modem itself is ... decaying.
Basically, the online light WOULD turn on - for about 5 seconds before the Message, Receive, and Send lights take over in blinking cycles.
No connection anywhere.
(yeah, it started getting REAL bad on Saturday)
Tech support couldn't help, after it got well by Sun 11am - and prompty died again 3 hours later.
With sis going nuts over her online work and me needing to check exam updated for online course ... well ...
The technician won't be able to look it over until this Thursday, 8-11am.
it's mysteriously in good health again now - (the modem) but I have no idea how long it will last.
I think it's because it can't take overheating anymore.
So, starting now, baby the modem and unplug it everytime the net is NOT used, only plugging it back in when I need the net.
.... don't be surprised if I seem to have "vanished".
.... I have no idea how long this brief spell will last.
.... must ... take ... advantage ... of school .... LAB!
